Membrane disc filter for testing Legionella bacteria
Ideal for water concentration in Legionella testing at public bath facilities!
Legionella bacteria are gram-negative bacteria widely found in soil, rivers, and lakes. When these Legionella bacteria contaminate public bath facilities, hot water systems, or filtration devices, they can infect the human body and potentially cause severe infections such as Legionnaires' disease. Therefore, testing for Legionella bacteria is conducted by various analytical companies worldwide for the purpose of environmental purification management. In May 2017, ISO 11731, which describes methods for counting Legionella in environmental water, was revised, and it proposed a "filtration concentration method using a membrane filter" for the concentration of water samples. Additionally, a direct attachment method for capturing Legionella has also been proposed. Pall handles membrane filters that meet the conditions specified in this ISO 11731.
